The electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) is a diagnostic tool that measures and records the electrical activity of the heart. The electrocardiogram is commonly used to detect abnormal heart rhythms, to investigate the cause of chest pains, to detect the occurrence of a prior heart attack or an evolving, acute heart attack etc.
ECG is the recording of the electrical activity of the heart over time via skin electrodes. It is a noninvasive recording produced by an electrocardiographic device. At Spectra Scans and Diagnostics, in addition to ECG department, all ICUs, Casualty and important wards are equipped with ECG recording device.
